Ever feel like you mean to be productive, but the day just… slips away? Like you spend your time on a dozen things that matter less instead of the one thing that matters most? That’s exactly why I created this 30-Day Productivity & Monthly Planning Challenge, not some hyper-disciplined schedule that leaves you exhausted, but a monthly planning adventure filled with small, doable daily actions that build structure and reduce overwhelm.
This challenge is all about monthly planning, the kind that helps you cut through the noise, focus your energy where it matters, and finally make your time work for you.
Over the next 30 days, you’ll clear clutter, sharpen your focus, and create systems that help you consistently get more done without feeling frazzled.
Grab a planner (or open your Notes app), a comfy cuppa, and let’s make planning feel like your secret weapon instead of another stress trigger.
How It Works
- There’s one task for each day – simple, specific, and actionable.
- You don’t need fancy productivity tools, just your intention and 10-20 minutes a day.
- The goal is habit formation, not perfection.
- If you miss a day, just pick up where you left off, no guilt, no “late start Mondays.”
You’ll use monthly planning, daily intention setting, reflection, and small wins to create momentum that lasts way beyond 30 days. Ready? Let’s go.
The 30-Day Productivity & Planning Challenge
Week 1: Get Clear & Set the Foundation
Day 1: Brain Dump Everything. Write down literally everything on your mind, work tasks, errand brain, worries, ideas, get it out and onto paper.
Day 2: Clear Your Workspace. A tidy desk = a tidy mind. Pick one area to clear and organise it.
Day 3: Define Your Big Three. Choose the three most important priorities for the month. Write them where you’ll see them.
Day 4: Time Audit. For one hour today, track how you actually spend your time, no judgment.
Day 5: Choose Your Planning System. Paper planner, digital calendar, sticky notes, pick what feels doable, not overwhelming.
Day 6: Plan Next Week. Look ahead and set intentions for seven days. What will you definitely do?
Day 7: Weekly Reflection. What worked this week? What drained you? Make notes for next week.

Week 2: Build Your Rhythm
Day 8: Morning Intentions. Before you start work, write three things you want to accomplish today.
Day 9: Email Tidy. Clear your inbox of anything older than a week that doesn’t matter.
Day 10: Time Block One Day. Assign chunks of time to your tasks. Treat your schedule like a promise to yourself.
Day 11: Daily Non-Negotiable. Pick one task you will do today, no exceptions.
Day 12: Add Movement. Move for at least 15 minutes, a walk, stretch, or dance to your favourite tune.
Day 13: Review Your Goals. Check your Big Three. Are you progressing? Adjust if needed.
Day 14: Weekly Reflection + Reward. Review your progress and do something that makes you smile.

Week 3: Boost Your Focus & Productivity
Day 15: Create a Night Routine. Wind down with a plan: screens off 30 mins before bed, journal, reflect.
Day 16: Eliminate One Distraction. Pick one time-waster and eliminate it today.
Day 17: Plan Your Meals Ahead. Meal planning cuts decision fatigue like little else.
Day 18: Learn One New Planning Hack. Time-blocking, Pomodoro, batching, test one method.
Day 19: Say No to One Thing. Protect your time by declining something that isn’t serving your goals.
Day 20: Mindful Midday Break. Take 10 minutes for calm, no work, no screen, no guilt.
Day 21: Weekly Check-In + Tidy Planner. Review your month so far and update your main planner.
This week is all about routine, pair it with ideas from Things To Do at the Beginning of Every Month to create flow.

Week 4: Level Up Planning & Finish Strong
Day 22: Visualise Your Best Day. Write out what your most productive day actually looks like.
Day 23: Celebrate Small Wins. Name five wins from the month, even tiny ones count.
Day 24: Mid-Month Reset. Tidy your planner, reset pages, and refresh your goals.
Day 25: List Your Productivity Triggers. What boosts your focus? What kills it? Write it down.
Day 26: Plan Next Month’s Big Three. Dream big, set intentions, and schedule your key focus areas.
Day 27: Create a ‘Not-To-Do’ List. Stop doing tasks that steal your time but offer little payoff.
Day 28: Declutter Digital Space. Unsubscribe from junk emails, delete unused apps.
Day 29: Reflect on Your Learning. What did this challenge teach you about your habits and rhythm?
Day 30: Celebration + Next Step. Well done! You’ve built planning muscle. Treat yourself and plan how you’ll keep this going.
